PANAGIOTIS PAPADAKIS

Dr. Panagiotis Papadakis is a Senior Scientist at the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH/IACM). He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics on 1989 from the University of Maryland in U.S.A. His main research interests are the development of new theoretical and numerical schemes for underwater acoustic propagation, modeling of forward and inverse problems in underwater acoustics with emphasis in sea-floor reconstruction using reflection coefficient measurements and bio-acoustics. In addition his activities include planning, executing and analyzing experiments (Hydroacoustics measurements, calibration etc.). He is currently In charge of the Underwater Acoustic Measurements Laboratory at the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics
