Prof. Ingunn Burud
Title: “Hyperspectral imaging of living and non-living materials”
Short bio: Prof. Ingunn Burud has a PhD in Astrophysics from Belgium and a she did a postdoc at the Space Telescope Science Institute in USA, working on images from the Hubble Space Telescope. Her current position is Professor of Physics at the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. She is leading the hyperspectral imaging lab at the University. Her current research is focused on image analysis, spectral imaging, multivariate data analysis and machine learning. She analyse hyperspectral and multispectral images from laboratory and from outdoor airborne field measurement from plane and UAV. The fields of applications are mostly solar cell materials, wooden surfaces, urban materials and vegetation.
