I am a Professor at the University of Crete and affiliated researcher at FORTH. I received a B.Sc. in "Physics" from the University of Patras, a M.Sc. in "Physics" and a Ph.D. in "Theoretical Physics" from the University of Crete, Greece, and have held postdoctoral positions in Germany and the U.K. My main interests lie in the area of nonlinear dynamics in condensed matter. I am working both in the Physics and the Mathematics of these systems, such as on the Landau-Lifshitz equation for magnetic materials and on Gross-Pitaevskii models for Bose-Einstein condensates.
