Performance Analysis of Underwater Acoustic Detection Systems

The aim of this project is the development of an integrated user-friendly computer environment called ΚΑΛΥΨΩ (CALYPSO) for the analysis and performance assessment of underwater acoustic detection systems under realistic propagation conditions.

The basic features of ΚΑΛΥΨΩ are

· Efficient propagation codes for broadband calculations in realistic ocean environments.

· Databases for environmental and operational data.

· Graphical user interfaces and expert subsystems for the selection and control of environmental/operational data and acoustic propagation codes.
