Mr. Yiannis Kamarianakis is an Associate Researcher in the Regional Analysis Division of the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics, FORTH.

He has a Ph.D. from the University of Crete, Department of Economics, on the topic of Financial Mathematics.He holds a M.Sc. in Statistics from the Department of Statistics, Athens University of Economics and Business (2000) and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Crete (1998).

His main research interests include

Methodological

He is involved in the following projects:

  LIAISON - LocatIon bAsed servIceS for the enhancement of wOrking environment. (Responsible for the development and application of statistical models that estimate current and forecast future travel times at the Athens road network)
  SATERM - A Satellite Technique for Estimating Rainfall over Mediterranean
  EMPHIS - Euro-Mediterranean Public Health Information System
  LABOR CRETE - Analysis of the labor markets in Crete
