Περιγραφή: Το έργο CaseWORK υποστηρίζει εθελοντές που εργάζονται με πρόσφυγες και αιτούντες άσυλο. Το έργο προσφέρει ένα ευέλικτο ηλεκτρονικό σεμινάριο κατάρτισης που περιλαμβάνει τρεις ενότητες μάθησης. Οι εθελοντές θα μπορούν να ενημερώνονται για τα νομικά ζητήματα, τις πρόσφατες αποφάσεις και τις εξελίξεις σχετικά με τη διαδικασία αίτησης ασύλου και να ενισχύουν τις διαπολιτισμικές τους ικανότητες. Επιπλέον, θα μπορούν να λάβουν ψυχολογική στήριξη προσαρμοσμένη στις ιδιαίτερες ανάγκες τους και στις καθημερινές τους προκλήσεις – όλο το μαθησιακό υλικό θα βρίσκεται σε απευθείας σύνδεση (online) και ελεύθερα προσβάσιμο ανά πάσα στιγμή.

Puzzle

Τίτλος: Puzzle. Developing easy to read formats for people with intellectual disabilities (2015 - 2017)

Περιγραφή: To Puzzle έχει ως στόχο να διευκολύνει την πρόσβαση στην πληροφόρηση, την εκπαίδευση και την κατάρτιση των νέων και των ενηλίκων με νοητική αναπηρία (ΑμΝΑ). Επαγγελματίες από την Ελλάδα, την Πολωνία και τη Λιθουανία που εργάζονται σε φορείς που παρέχουν εκπαιδευτικές υπηρεσίες για τα ΑμΝΑ θα εκπαιδευτούν στη μέθοδο "easy to read" και για το πώς να εκμεταλλευτούν τις δυνατότητες που προσφέρουν οι νέες τεχνολογίες για τα άτομα με νοητική αναπηρία. Μετά τη διεξαγωγή μιας ερευνητικής μελέτης με σκοπό την αξιολόγηση των αναγκών των ΑμΝΑ στις παραπάνω χώρες, τα ευρήματα της έρευνας θα οδηγήσουν στην σύνθεση των ενημερωτικών εγγράφων και διδακτικού υλικού σε "easy to read" μορφή. Αυτά θα αναρτηθούν στην ηλεκτρονική πλατφόρμα Puzzle, η οποίa θα παρέχει στους εκπαιδευτικούς ένα περιβάλλον για να οργανώνουν δραστηριότητες μάθησης και για να δημοσιεύουν υλικό, σχετικό με την εκπαίδευση των ΑμΝΑ.

Τίτλος: Supporting Equality in Science Technology and Mathematics related choices of careers (2010 - 2011)

Περιγραφή: SESTEM is built on the premise that the study of the uptake of STEM studies by girls and their retention in the field can benefit from investigation into the triangulation of family-individual and school (secondary and tertiary) factors. Under this scope SESTEM aims to conduct four interrelated comparative studies engaging students, pupils, parents and teachers (both secondary and tertiary levels). Both qualitative (in depth interviews, conceptual mapping, tandem based dialoguing and review into existing literature) and quantitative (collection and analyses of data from across the Member States using on-line survey methods, and meta-analyses of existing statistical data) methods will be applied.

Περιγραφή: To Wings4Success έχει στόχο την οικοδόμηση γεφυρών ανάμεσα στους νέους εργαζόμενους (μέχρι 30 ετών) και στην παλαιότερη γενιά εργαζομένων (άνω των 55 ετών), καθώς και ανάμεσα στους «τομείς» της εκπαίδευσης ενηλίκων, της επαγγελματικής εκπαίδευσης και κατάρτισης στον χώρο της επιχείρησης, με την ανάπτυξη, τη δοκιμή και την ενσωμάτωση πρακτικών διαγενεακής μάθησης στις ΜΜΕ. Το Έργο θα σχεδιάσει και θα αναπτύξει διαδικτυακά μαθήματα για Διαγενεακή Μάθηση, ένα μοντέλο παροχής συμβουλών για τη διαγενεακή μάθηση και πρακτικές συστάσεις για την προώθηση μιας επιτυχημένης μεταφοράς γνώσεων μεταξύ των γενεών στον εργασιακό τους χώρο με τη βελτίωση της επικοινωνίας μεταξύ τους.

Τίτλος: Equipping the Next Generation for Active Engagement in Science (2014 - 2017)

Περιγραφή: The ENGAGE project is part of the EU Science in society agenda to promote more ‘Responsible Research and Innovation’ (RRI). ENGAGE is about equipping the next generation to participate in scientific issues to change how science is taught. Traditionally students gain an image of science as a body of content, whereas RRI deals with uncertain areas of knowledge, where values and argument matter as much as facts. This shift is hugely challenging. ENGAGE focuses on a more inquiry-based methodology, which gives students opportunity for self-expression and responsibility for coming to informed decisions. The project aims are: a) to help teachers address contemporary science issues and applications relevant to students; b) to develop teachers’ beliefs, knowledge and classroom practice for ‘RRI’; and c) to provide students a strong foundation to engage in science issues they will meet during their lives.

Τίτλος: Mathematics and science for life! (2013 - 2016)

Περιγραφή: MaScil aims to promote a widespread use of inquiry-based science teaching (IBST) in primary and secondary schools. Its major innovation is to connect IBST in school with the world of work making science more meaningful for young European students and motivating their interest in careers in S & T. To this end, training courses will run –in which pre and in-service teachers will learn about IBST supported by teachers from vocational education, representatives from industry and informal learning. They will develop inquiry tasks in vocational contexts, leading to a large European task repository. Teachers will experience IBST themselves and through iterative cycles of implementation followed by reflection integrate this into their practice. To ensure widespread participation a pyramid model will be used –in which project partners will work with a small number of teachers first each of which will then work with further teachers. Additionally an innovative interactive e-learning platform will be developed.

Τίτλος: LEGO Serious Play Learning for SMEs (2013 - 2014)

Περιγραφή: While SMEs are an important economic factor for the EU these have less productivity and grow more slowly than their counterpart within the United States. S-PLAY aims to adapt the former project “Health tutor in adult education” (http://www.healthtutor.eu/proj.htm), to the needs of SMEs in 6 different countries of Europe. SMEs shall be sensitised and trained in setting up the prerequisites for the "lernförderliche Arbeitsumgebung". This will be done by adapting the Health tutor material, which focused on setting up a healthy learning environment in Adult Education institutions (course framework, curriculum,, health check) to the needs of SMEs. The implementation within SMEs will be accompanied by the bench-effect method, which will further the long-term implementation within the SMES.

Περιγραφή: Educational systems in Europe are currently faced with the need to adapt to significant socio-demographic and economical changes: ageing populations and increased migrant mobility. Therefore, an ever growing challenge is how to build more sustainable models of education to increase key competencies of many adults, including migrants and older learners and encourage their participation in lifelong learning. This two-year project aims to engage staff and learners in activities which will improve adult literacy and languages skills through the use of storytelling and digital narratives techniques. Both staff and learners will engage in workshop at European level complemented by work done locally by each organisation part of the learning partnership consortium.

It is a network of networks drawing upon materials from 20 projects and 300+ institutions and bringing together 11 Universities, 3 schools and 56 associated partners (12 from additional projects, 44 key-actors for the national working groups e.g. schools, policy makers). This will ensure the best possible valorisation of existing project results to about 45,000 teachers.

Τίτλος: Working Environment with Social and Personal Open Tools for inquiry based learning (2012 - 2015)

Περιγραφή: weSPOT aims at propagating scientific inquiry as the approach for science learning and teaching in combination with today’s curricula and teaching practices. It lowers the threshold for linking everyday life with science teaching in schools by technology. weSPOT supports the meaningful contextualization of scientific concepts by relating them to personal curiosity, experiences, and reasoning. weSPOT addresses several challenges in the area of science learning and technology support for building personal conceptual knowledge. The project focuses on inquiry-based learning with a theoretically sound and technology supported personal inquiry approach. In inquiry based-learning learners take the role of an explorer and scientist and are motivated by their personal curiosity, guided by self-reflection, and develop knowledge personal and collaborative sense-making and reasoning. weSPOT will work on a meta-inquiry level in that it will (a) define a reference model for inquiry-based learning skills, (b) create a diagnostic instrument for measuring inquiry skills, and (c) implement a working environment that allows the easy linking of inquiry activities with school curricula and legacy systems.

Περιγραφή: Most EU Member States have identified food and health as key priorities. This is in response to increases in obesity and diet-related chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases amongst their populations. Attempts to increase public awareness of appropriate ways to eat more healthily though do not seem to have led to significant changes in patterns of food purchase and consumption. It has become obvious that the development of effective measures for improvement is a demanding task and requires further systematic research and innovative approaches. Through a multilevel stakeholders participative approach INPROFOOD intends to make impact on • Contributing to adapting the governance of research and technological development in the area of food and health to facilitate sustainable and inclusive solutions • Helping further incorporate science in society issues into the systems of research • Contributing to an improved transnational cooperation • Providing experiential feedback to underpin the policy debate on a “new social contract” between science and society by providing evidence on societal demands to support practical guidelines for inclusive, sustainable research designs. Overall the project aims to foster dialogue and mutual learning between industry, academia and civil society already in the earliest stages of the research processes directed towards developing innovative approaches (technical and social) for dealing with the food and health challenge.

Περιγραφή: Το έργο genSET θα αναπτύξει πρακτικούς τρόπους με τους οποίους τα Ευρωπαϊκά επιστημονικά ινστιτούτα θα ενσωματώσουν τη γνώση και την εξειδίκευση σχετικά με την ισότητα των δύο φύλων, για να βελτιώσουν την ατομική και συλλογική ικανότητα για δράση, ώστε να αυξήσουν τη συμμετοχή των γυναικών στον τομέα της επιστήμης. Το genSET θα καλλιεργήσει έναν βιώσιμο, συνεργατικό διάλογο ανάμεσα σε ειδικούς και κορυφαίους επιστήμονες της ισότητας των δύο φύλων ώστε να συμφωνήσουν σε μια σειρά πρακτικών οδηγιών για την εφαρμογή σχεδίων δράσης σε υπάρχοντες μηχανισμούς των ινστιτούτων. Στο διάλογο θα λάβουν μέρος 100 ενδιαφερόμενα Ευρωπαϊκά επιστημονικά ινστιτούτα, 15 διεθνής εμπειρογνώμονες και οχτώ Ευρωπαίοι στρατηγικοί ιθύνοντες.
